I had the good fortune of being the EPK DP for "The Eyes of Tammy Faye" in 2019, so it was great to see Jessica Chastain receive an Oscar nomination today! The footage we shot is now "The Making Of: The Eyes of Tammy Faye", currently available as an accompaniment to the film on HBO+. This marks the second time I have worked on a film that led to an Oscar nomination for the lead actress. The first was Frances McDormand and "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri". I expect Jessica to have the same success that Frances enjoyed in 2018. Thank you to Gregg Temkin and Mob Scene for the opportunity!
Mel Gibson Interview/Boys Of Summer EPK

Film icon Mel Gibson was in Southport, NC shooting the independent feature film "Boys of Summer", and I had the opportunity to shoot his EPK interview and BTS of the production. Mel was a pleasure to work with and a class act - even when the mayor of Southport crashed his interview! (https://youtu.be/vcPWFbNA5uI)
NEW CAMERAS!
November 2021
As and admitted "gear head", I love to get new equipment! This month I have added two new cameras to my arsenal: Sony FX9 and Sony FX3. Both have Sony's amazing Full Frame Sensor, with the FX9 capable of 6k, and the FX3 at 4k. Both of these cameras will add another layer of versatility and quality to my work.

September 2021 UPDATE:
Things have been really busy since production resumed last fall. In the past year, we have provided EPK/BTS and promo production for Starz' series "Hightown", Fox's new series, "Welcome to Flatch", Hallmark's "One Christmas", Netflix's series "Florida Man" and we're currently embedded on the Amazon series "The Summer I Turned Pretty". In addition to providing day-to-day BTS and EPK services, we're also shooting Gallery and Promo projects for these titles, including the recent preview for Fox's "Our Kind of People" and a "Take The Lead" feature on Monica Raymund for Starz.

DP'ed promos for the STARZ series “Hightown” with the fine team from Trailer Park and the "Hightown" shooting crew. No one could have asked for better resources or personnel. It was my first shoot with the ALEXA Mini LF and Arri Signature Primes. Huge thanks to @lighthousefilms for going to the ends of the earth to pull the camera package together during a very challenging time.

On location in Charlotte, NC for the Fox Searchlight feature film, "The Eyes of Tammy Faye" - a biopic about the meteoric rise and fall of televangelists Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker. Starring Oscar-nominees Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield, with Vincen't D'Onofrio and Cherry Jones.
EPK Interview for "Alita: Battle Angel"

We get to meet some great people in our line of work, but we had the unique pleasure of working with Derek Mears last week. Derek plays "Romo" in the Robert Rodriguez / James Cameron sci-fi epic "Alita: Battle Angel". Since Derek is currently in Wilmington working on location for another project, we were able to provide studio space, a green screen set, camera and sound services for his EPK interview. Derek is an absolute pleasure to work with and gave one of the most thoughtful interviews any of us have ever witnessed. We definitely look forward to an opportunity to work with Derek again!

EPK Films has a long history with Nicholas Sparks and we were honored to work on this film.
"FIST FIGHT" Begins Production in Atlanta

We are in Atlanta this week shooting BTS/EPK on the feature film "Fist Fight", starring Charlie Day, Ice Cube, Tracy Morgan and Dean Norris. This is Tracy Morgan's first film project since his accident. It has been great working with this cast and crew so far! Thanks to all for being so welcoming and accommodating.
"The Choice" Release Date Announced

Last year we had the pleasure of being the embedded EPK camera on the set of the feature film "The Choice", based on the Nicholas Sparks novel. It was truly a wonderful experience to work with such a tight knit and talented cast and crew. It was announced today that "The Choice" will be released into theaters everywhere on February 5, 2016. We are looking forward to seeing the final product!
